Gia - 10 months old

My baby is inching her way closer to a year, and I'm less and less ready for it.  I feel like a year means she's not a little baby anymore, she's growing up.  And I want Gia to stay a little baby for a while longer.  I guess this is why parents have another baby.

Her personality continues to develop and charm us.  She now takes a minute to get situated in a place or study unfamiliar people, and then proceeds to blow lots of kisses at everyone.  She has begun eating pretty much anything we do, including macaroni and cheese and coffee cake.  Granted, we don't give her much of this processed food that I know isn't good for her, but really, you try sitting on the floor when Gia crawls up to you, puts her hands on your knee and begs with an open mouth.  We (especially Bobby) melt like butter.  And yes, Gia spends way too much time with the dog.  Do other kids beg like this?

Here are some updates from the month:

Gia is into EVERYTHING.  Seriously, even when we hold her, she wants to move from one arm to the other.  She's constantly moving, picking up things, chewing on things, climbing on our dog (or on us)... she's so active!  I was a blob as a baby, so she gets it from Bobby.  Her active nature keeps me constantly busy, but she's so much fun!  I just bracing myself for when she starts walking...

  1. Yes, she blows kisses really well, and in her own unique way. I love how we blow each other kisses when we Skype. And I may be mistaken, Lins, but that “cruising” photo looks an awful lot like walking. Can you say “Treat Dad to a Farr’s”? Those are great photos of Gianna with you and with Bobby. Gianna has a great smile and is very photogenic, both of which she gets from her parents. Love, Dad
